Feeling Abandoned by God? Surah Ad-Duha and Ash-Sharh (Quran 93 and 94)
Watch on YouTube ↗ · Read this episode as a blog post
Quran chapters 93 and 94 are only nineteen verses, and they speak straight to the feeling that God has left. We read them slowly: the oaths by the morning and the night, the promise that your Lord never abandoned you and did not forget, remembering what God already did, turning comfort into kindness, why with pain there is gain is said twice, and what to do next. One line from Isaiah and one from the Psalms say the same about God being near.
